What an absolute joke of a company. Whoever is running their outage department needs to be fired. My area is one of the biggest outages in the downtown area, yet no crew has been assigned in over 12 hours and everything in my freezer is rotting. When I called, I was told to “be patient and that power would hopefully be back sooner or later”. Consumers Energy has called me four times today after I’ve already paid my bill. The balance on their “updated” application shows $0.00 is owed. What makes no sense is that their hours are listed for their call center to close at 4:30pm. They just called me back to back at 07:15pm and 07:17pm. They were kind enough to give me a “7 day extension to pay my balance of $0 dollars and $0.00 cents”. Ridiculous 😖
They have sent the link to upload the ID proof, if i click it says your session is expired. If i call the customer care they are saying only option is to visit the office to provide the ID proofs. They operates very less days without the appointment(Which is exactly at my office time),i am getting doubt whether is this the US company.
The absolute worst utilities company we’ve ever worked with. Predatory practices, terrible service, and they canceled auto-pay with credit card.
