Dr Bills seems legit but this place itself is not great. They are terrible with communication. It's been way past 14 days and I don't have the pathology reports. You can call and leave messages, no one is calling you back or messaging you back. My colonoscopy/ endoscopy was rushed. I went today for my first ever Upper GI and colonoscopy. Needless to say, I was very nervous.My experience was great until I encountered the nurse in the endo room (I think I was in endo room 2). The nurse never turned around to acknowledge me, comfort, or show compassion! My Nurse Anesthetist , I think his name was Martin who had the coolest handlebar mustache, asked her for something, she slapped it on the counter. I was actually very pleased with the staff at CIG. Dr. Bills was greatat answering all of my questions & I had quite a few. My appointment was at the end of the day so I almost expected to feel rushed but I didn't feel rushed at all. Nice people!
Doctor was very dismissive with no bedside manner. Felt very rushed. He did not seem sure about anything. Very little answers or even a clear strategy for figuring things out. It was a waste of an appointment. The nurses have been really nice which is why I gave 2 stars instead of 1. There are not many options for gastroenterology in Columbia, but I would not recommend this one. I agree with some of the reviews regarding communication also. When I called to schedule my appointment they didn’t answer so I had to leave a voicemail. They called me back the same day. Fast forward, I had my first colonoscopy and it was the perfect experience. The staff was great, the wait period was good and the procedure was fast.
