Lived here for over a year now. My partner and I aren't going to renew our lease. It's a shame really since the buildings and area are so neat and charming. However it's faults can't be ignored. 1 HVAC guy for 5 buildings tackling requirements that have been due since the winter. Do not be fooled! The apartment may look nice but it WILL have issues and they will drag their feet to resolve them. I went almost 2 months with no hot water. The hottest month of the summer, my air conditioning was broken and so many other issues. The building is moldy and broken down. An elevator has been broken now for over a month. On top of all of this they will nickle and dime you. 300 just to *apply* and a whole list of added costs are added to your baseline rent and none of that covers utilities. If I could give zero stars, I would! Initially, I thought Brookfield Properties was bad, but Westshore takes the prize. Typically, when a new management team comes in, they clean house and replace the old, ineffective staff, but what did Westshore do? They kept the worst ones. A lot of these reviews highlight maintenance issues, and yet they chose to keep Samantha, who can take months to get her team to address even the smallest of problems. My view in the apartment is beautiful, unfortunately I’ve lost around 500.00 dollars or more of mail from theft and lost packages in the mail room. Leasing office, unless you go in person, it’s hard to get responses back from email. App to put in work orders do not work well. My washer and dryer is very old. It takes over 2 hours to dry a small load. The hallways and rugs all smell despite cleaning. The pool bathroom hasn’t been consistently cleaned and it is pretty scary in there.
