Family restaurant Connies is a great place for families to go to. It is a very large rastaurant with great service and plenty of parking. It is almost always crowded so I would suggest making reservations before you go. The italian beefs sandwhiches are amazing. The pizza is great whether you get te deep dish or the thin crust.
I've Had Better ! I have dined at Connies Pizza numerous times. However, this last experience yesterday was a "dud". My brother who was visiting me from Michigan asked where he could get a good pizza and I took him and my granddaughter to Connies. Well -- that was a mistake. After being greeted by a waitress and placing our order, we waited an extremely long, long time before our pizza arrived. The #1 place for deep dish This place can be seen when reaching the first orange line station when leaving downtown on the Orange line. If you want Deep dish pizza on the south side, this is the place to go. Connies is more than a pizzeria; it is an establishment. This place has lots of parking and is situated in a nice, secluded area. They even have great beer and pizza combination specials!
Great food - great atmosphere! Connie's has great Italian food. Their calamari appetizer is one of the best I've ever had. The ambiance of their renovated warehouse restaurant is really something to see. You get the feel of being in Italy as the decor very suitably fits the atmosphere of making it so! Try the tiramisu I love this place! It has a wonderful family atmosphere, and it is open late. The service is great too. Try the flatbreads, italian mixed grill, and the tiramisu!
