I really don't understand all the negative reviews for the Essex Connecticut Orthopedics office! I have been here several times for different problems, and they've always been great! They're cheerful, friendly, competent, and efficient--and Dr. Key is so kind! I will always come here for orthopedic concerns!
Rude front desk staff. I thought Yale orthopedics was bad. This place is even worse. Why any company would put a completely inept unprofessional and rude person at the front window to receive people is beyond me. Makes you wonder...
I asked for Allison as she came Highly recommended. Left hip Replacement First session she had me in private room evaluating me and paying which wonderful attention for the hour. Told me, as she massaged the scar tissue “always go upward toward your heart “. Wonderful. Second session ? She told me she was out for the week. But she was there for my second session and I was given an aide who appeared to not be sure of what it was I needed. Kept looking at my chart unsure of what I needed “next” for exercises. Update: changed to two stars because we found out a year later that they didn’t x-ray the part of her back that was giving her the most issues. When she broke her hip, they saw she had a previous pelvis break that was missed. Took my mom in for back pain for their walk-in service. A PA saw her. The medical care was thorough and quick. He took the time to answer any questions we had. I gave 4 stars because the admin isn't stellar. It's just okay. They don't provide CDs of the scans and the check in was excruciatingly long.
