I went there for an eye exam, without purchasing glasses there. I thought I'd use this place because they said they take my insurance. I figured I might save a couple of bucks off of the $120 I would have had to pay to LensCrafters. This place charged my insurance $317!!! Wth?! They also want me to pay a $55 'refraction' fee, that I asked them about it when I saw the sign. (Of course they said my insurance would cover it). Their license should be revoked.

Accolades and more accolades. Finally able to purchase my eye glasses from a reputable facility. First time since Opticare was sold that my glasses with a progressive lens prescription are made and fit properly. I chose my glasses from their Danbury store, but was able to pick my glasses up in their New Milford store. Nancy Domoff New Milford, CT

A ripoff. After a bad experience with billing a few years ago, I wasn't going to go back, but I gave them a second chance. My insurance has one free eye exam per year, and I made the appointment specifically saying that was what I wanted, giving them all the insurance info when I made the appointment. I repeated that when I came in for the exam. After I left, they mailed a bill for $45 -- the specialist copay. I was irked, but paid. Now, several weeks later, I find they are billing again, and for more. They lied, and then li... read more
