I had dial-up Internet access with config.com back when they resold for apk.net in the early 90's. When I became dis-satisfied with apk because of getting kicked off too much, I switched to nacs.net and had the same problem, so I decided to try config.com when they started their ISP locally in Ravenna. Go figure, I had the same problem, but... they sent someone out to my home and he updated the modem in about 5 minutes and I never had a problem after that!
