I've only had one appointment so far, but I've never felt so heard by a professional before today. Not once did he attempt to downplay or dismiss my issues, something I've increasingly gotten used to in health settings, that further lead me into belittling my own thoughts and feelings overtime. I have had only an initial intake appointment with Dr. Akram. I found him to be very engaged, efficient, and organized in reviewing my case. Time will tell.
