Was referred here by a mental health hospital (for my son) in July. At first everything was GREAT … I LOVED the service my son received from his providers (nurse practitioner and therapist) .. then in August things took a turn.. his provider took away one of his prescriptions that he NEEDS drastically to help him focus and get things done … refused to provide an alternate medication and basically emailed me and said you what I sent to the pharmacy now beat it! Kristina Schaefer, PA-C has been wonderful to work with. I was having trouble finding a provider for my son that he actually could talk to. Ms. Kristina took her time with him and truly listened to him which has made all the difference. We have a plan in place and are making wonderful progress....thank you Ms. Kristina...we owe you a great deal!
I did a rotation with CCS and was pleasantly surprised. Many psychiatrists do not often take assignment with health insurance, but CCS will take insurance and work with its clients to deliver care. Medical care and therapy professionals coordinate with each other to compliment care. What interested me most was that CCS offers pharmacogenomic testing to assess baseline therapeutic efficacy.
