When we were several days away from discharge, and it became clear that palliative care was the next step, I met with an agent from Compassus - for 45 minutes. I had reached out to another hospice. Lets just say they denied us and were rude and very unprofessional. I reached out to Compassus Hospice on a Friday morning. They were at my house by 12:30, Meds for my mother delivered that evening and RN Shelby at my house Saturday. They were amazing. Explaining everything and sincerely concerned with my mother's health. Compassus was amazing as we navigated through the passing of my father. They were with us every step of the way, and highly communicative. We felt supported and cared for throught the duration. My mom especially felt that the nurses and staff that visited our home were there to help her in any way possible. I would recommend Compassus without hesitation. Thank you to Kimberly and the team for your love, support and wisdom.
Please do your research before picking a hospice company. I recently switched from Compassus to another company and the change has been significantly better. Compassus lacks staffing, communication, up to date equipment, medical supplies are extremely limited. Most times, it was let me see what’s in my car…..the quality of briefs/chucks and wipes are the cheapest on the market. I wouldn’t recommend this company to anyone.
