I truly appreciate Compassus Hospice and the care their team provided. Anna, the nurse, and Jelena, the head nurse, were especially wonderful. The entire team was attentive, compassionate, and genuinely cared every step of the way. Even through all the medical changes and prescription adjustments, their communication remained clear, consistent, and reassuring. Absolutely horrific experience! What I thought was going to be a much needed help for me ended up being more stressful in the end. The team REFUSED to play nice with my father’s assisted living facility AT ALL! I was asked multiple times to move my very ill, dementia stricken father to a different facility, which I declined. I didn’t feel it was in the best interest of my father and I made my reasons clear. They stopped timely communications with me after this. I have the best things to say about Compassus. I am so grateful with all the people, the compassionate nurses, the director of them , the case worker, the chaplain, all of them are angels in disguise... They came to my life at a moment of a lot of distress and took my pain and my moms pain and soothed it ...I felt like touched by angels and I am sure my mom felt the same way... I cannot say enough good things about Compassus. The way they came in and took care of my father and made him comfortable and how they made him feel safe. Mata was absolutely incredible she would contact me everyday that she saw my dad and explained everything to me. She has so much knowledge and compassion and I felt so comfortable and reassured that my dad was in great hands. I just want to thank everyone at Compassus for all that they do not just for my father and me but all the other lives they touch.
