I recommend Compassus to anyone who needs Hospice support. I worked closely with Stephen and Angela, who cared for my partner in his last stage of early onset Alzheimer’s. They provided incredible care. They were amazing – kind, compassionate, and knowledgeable. They worked creatively to find the best solutions for comfort, as Alzheimer’s is very difficult to manage. The medication plan was carefully and frequently adjusted , and the family appreciated being kept updated and involved. Their dedication made a huge difference.... read more
Great place to bring your loved one at end of life. All the staff care so much including nurses, cnas, chaplains, social workers, volunteer workers, bereavement team and so much more. End of life can be difficult time for families, but Compassus goes above and beyond to ensure families and patients are well taken care of. They provide extra hands for care in order to help out families and patients. 10/10
My mother, who is in a nursing home with advanced Alzheimer's is receiving tremendous care with compassion and professionalism. The Compassus team are making every moment of her life, (she is near the end-of-life) as dignified, personable and comfortable as possible. Compassus used some hard handed tactics to get my aunt started on morphine (which is an end-of-life track) when my aunt was still very much alive and kicking! After being denied permission and asked to seek other alternatives, they tried to get my aunt admitted to the hospital so they could administer morphine. My aunt who is partially paralyzed, was removed from her home without any permission, and taken to the hospital on some trumped up symptoms, putting her at great risk.
