If I could give this company less than one star I would. My sister has lived independently in San Antonio while the rest of her extended family is in PA. What we found out when we came to visit her was so unacceptable as my husband has worked with Hospice and healthcare companies for decades and knows how this works as well as I have been a former nurse. How a Compassus Nurse becomes a family friend. Our family was very fortunate to have Cayla assigned to my Mom for her hospice care. It did not take long for Cayla and Mom to develop a caring and loving relationship. The care, the attention to detail was exceptional. Cayla always made Mom feel like she was her only patient. Cayla also went the extra mile to provide support and advice to me in an effort to make Mom as comfortable as possible. Cayla was an exceptional nurse who became family, but more importantly was our Angel.
No doubt 5 stars. NP Homero Almaraz is my primary provider at Compassus. I am a Palliative patient, a pain in the butt one who seeks knowledge and passionate providers. That’s him! He’s dedicated to my health. He’s motivational and fights my battle along side me. If he doesn’t know some random complex symptom, he will find out. Homero Almaraz NP is amazing. My parents love him. He is kind and compassionate. He listens and cares. A true blessing to me as i live 2 hours away. He is my eyes and ears since I can not be there all the time. God has truly blessed us. Thank you homero for all you do for us.
