My experience with Santa Fe Compassus was not what I had imagined for my dying Mother. She wasn't given comfort meds for three days upon her hospital release, which caused her a lot of suffering and when I called the nurse on night duty he had no solutions for her coughing episode, except to complain that I should be upset she hadn't received meds straight from the hospital. I am so pleased with the hospice services my partner is receiving from Compassus. The staff is uniformly responsive and easy to contact. Our nurse Laura Jones is exceptional - kind, considerate, professional, and quick to help. Our home health aides Leticia and Felicia are both wonderful; They treat my partner with respect, gentleness, and sincerity. I feel incredibly fortunate that these Compassus caregivers are part of our lives during this tough journey.
Letitia Kavanaugh is an outstanding CNA. My family is so happy that she is now assisting us in our mother's care. She has a wonderful attitude. Compassus is lucky to have her.
Our situation at our home is that we have two family members that were nurses, once the hospice nurse came to provide care or assisted care. She allowed the family members to assume care for my father. As the family members left, she left the residence. she had a poor attitude and an uncaring Response.
