Our situation at our home is that we have two family members that were nurses, once the hospice nurse came to provide care or assisted care. She allowed the family members to assume care for my father. As the family members left, she left the residence. she had a poor attitude and an uncaring Response. Marianna, Corrine, and Laura were so amazing. They went above and beyond.
My mother was put on Hospice care in October, 2024. We chose Compassus Hospice in Santa Fe, NM for her care. I cannot begin to explain how wonderful all the caregivers are. They have gone beyond what we expected to make sure that not only my mother, but my husband and I are all getting the assistance we need to take care of her and provide her with the love and dignity that she deserves. In reading other reviews, I find simular problems with the care my husband is receiving from them. The nurses turnover is astounding, the lack of concern for patient, the lack of knowledge by Nurses and the strange way of scheduling (?). We thought it would be better to be on Hospice, I am not so sure now. As my husband says" they don't care about me, they are just filling in blanks to get paid"
Compassus is an awesome agency. Their nurses go above and beyond in even the littlest ways. I always recommend this agency for anyone who needs to be educated in the ways of hospice. I couldn't have been more satisfied with their care and compassion for my family member. Thank you so much for all you do.
