I don't know how to thank everyone who helped take care of my father in his last days. Everyone was so helpful in answering questions and very understanding. The care he was given was top notch. They helped him remain comfortable and pain free and to pass peacefully. Thanks so much for your outstanding support and care.

The nurses Lizzie and Becky and chaplain Deb gave our family so much respect. They were all so wonderful and gentle with my sister Sharon. I want to thank y'all so much for such wonderful care y'all gave my sister Sharon. Y'all was always there when we needed y'all. Our family really appreciated everything y'all did for us. My son and I were first introduced to Amedisys at the Norfolk Sentara hospital. My wife had been diagnosed with stage 4 Melanoma bone marrow cancer. She did not want to die in the hospital but to have hospice take care of her final days at home. The education we received at the hospital from Amedisys was extremely helpful on what they do and what they do not do. It was a real eye opener. Unfortunately, my wife started hospice on thursday and she died on saturday. So, I did not really have an opportunity to experience too much of the care part of this service. They were very hands on and wanted to ensure Joan was as comfortable as possible. They discussed things with both of us, very clearly. When Joan died, it was in my arms and extremely traumatic.
