From the first phone call, Amedisys showed us compassion. Our family had a previous experience with another agency in Hampton Roads that can only be described as disappointing. Our family was guided gently and given education on what we could expect from the Amedisys team and they delivered in every way they said they would and more. Our only regret is that we didn’t find this team sooner. Thank you for making an unbearable time in our lives bearable to get through, because of your support. We are forever grateful.
I was very worried about my dad’s care in the beginning . The word hospice scared me . I thought the word hospice was when people died in a few days. That is not the truth. Amedisys took amazing care of my dad for 6 months. The nurses went above and beyond to make sure we had everything we needed and always answered all of our question every step of the way. All I can say is Thank you very much for making it a little easier for us.
My mom's Assisted Living facility recommended Amedysis. The original person I spoke with did not clearly explain hospice to me. Natalie came to bathe my mom and did an excellent job but Robert the RN was a disappointment. He would say he was going to do something or get a med for my mom but then two days later I would ask him and he'd say he was working on it.
