We have been sponsoring a child for 6 years. Last year we got to meet our child, see her file first-hand and see exactly what was purchased with each gift we sent for birthdays and Christmas. I have never been more impressed with an organization after seeing in-country staff in Ethiopia, meeting “Compassion kids” now adults, and seeing how centers are run.
This organization is amazing, and makes such a huge impact on the children it helps. My parents started sponsoring a child my age about 12 years ago. Since then Orn has gotten electricity, running water, and is now also going to college to be a nurse! The most beautiful thing to see is how she went from being sad all the time to knowing God. Sponsoring three children in Brazil has allowed my 3 kids to develop a relationship with kids in need in another part of the world. They are learning to serve by saving their money to help support their sponsor friends and by taking time to write encouraging letters. The monthly communication back and forth between them is priceless and a true friendship has emerged.

I have been to the three counties where my sponsor children live and see first hand the poverty and social needs.. what a blessing to be the hands and feet of Jesus as I support these children, pray for them and receive letters from them and witness how my money and prayers have helped.. God commands us to take care of the least of these and what a blessing!!!!!
