I attended therapy at Compass of Hope for about six months. If I had written this review a month ago, it would have been 5 stars. I made really great progress with a therapist that I really trusted. Then my case was so badly mishandled that all my progress evaporated in a matter of weeks. My mental health situation is currently the worst it's been in nearly ten years, and the way I was treated by Compass of Hope was the tipping point. Completely Changed Terms After We Started I'm writing this to warn other parents because what happened to us was really frustrating and felt wrong. We chose Compass of Hope for our daughter's neuropsychological testing specifically because they took our insurance. I checked their website, called and confirmed with staff, and then we signed the contract. They told us what our copay would be after insurance - a specific dollar amount we agreed to. While the counselor we saw was excellent, we had an awful experience with the billing department. We moved out of state, address was changed, but our other contact info stayed the same. We never received a bill for an outstanding co-pay we didn’t know we had. No bill by mail, no contact by email or phone, nothing. Until I received a letter from collections!!
