RecommendedWe’ve taken our little Shih Tzu here since he was adopted from a rescue over three years ago. He has a lot of quirks and is afraid of other dogs and new situations. He doesn’t mind going there at all. The drs and staff are excellent-very caring and professional. They always follow up with you a couple of days after you bring your pet in for a medical issue. They are very thorough with the exams and make pet and his human feel comfortable. I totally recommend Companion Animal Hospital of Oak Park without hesitation!
Took our puppy Golden Retriever for her first visit to the vet and the staff there was extremely nice, welcoming and very helpful! Dr.Schoessow answered all of our questions and gave us great information on keeping our puppy healthy and active! Our puppy had long nails when she arrived and Maggie did a great job at cutting and trimming them. As first time puppy parents we had a great experience and were extremely satisfied with their service. We absolutely recommend this place!!!
Please reconsider sending your furry friends to this vet, especially for grooming. Lori is a bit lazy and does not understand the hair needs of different breeds. If you decide to go, be very clear what Lori can and cannot do. Also, ask a lot of questions to the vets- they like to up-charge creating unnecessary fear for your furry friends. My experience- hope yours is better if you choose CAH.

I love this place. My little Bear loves Lori the groomer and he loves the doctors too. Summer grooming yesterday. Here are some before and after his summer cut.
My dog Storm wax not feeling her best and we already went to two vets but no changes. When we got to Companion they were so amazing and welcoming and made us feel at home. Storm improved so fast and was back to her energetic self and I'm so grateful for everyone who helped us
