I had to deal with CMHS when I was having a full mental breakdown that was being heightened by having recently started birth control. I took myself to the WGHG emergency, where I expressed this and told them I was having suicidal thoughts and that I needed help, and that I had brought myself in as I was scared I was going to hurt myself. I was blatantly ignored, told they couldn't do anything, prescribed valium, and discharged. This place truly doesn’t listen to you. They don’t care or try to help. The psychiatrists all just ignore your wishes and push their ideas onto you. I got more help from a pack of cigarettes than this place

I’m not even sure where to start with these beautiful people but they were my guardian angels sent from above. For once in my life I felt heard, understood and loved by complete strangers who know feel like hero’s to me and will for the rest of my life. I will forever be grateful for the knock on my door on that Saturday I needed them the most.
