From the front desk to the counselors in the back,CMS is solid. With 200 plus members all the staff will welcome you And truly care about your recovery. Any available staff will gladly take time to chat with clients, It helps to stay focused while working a program. Thank You All
I have a family member who has attended this clinic for many years, and it has been difficult to watch her thrive in sobriety while still being held back by policies that do not appear to support long-term recovery. Based on what she has shared, these procedures seem to keep people tied to the program rather than helping them safely move forward and eventually off medication. When policies prioritize retention over recovery, it undermines the very purpose of treatment.
This review is not directed at the staff or employees at the CMS location. My concern is with the policies and procedures set by CMS, which, in my opinion, seem to work against individuals who are genuinely committed to recovery. Rather than supporting people in progressing through recovery and eventually working toward tapering off methadone, these policies appear to keep patients stuck in the program long-term. This place is absolutely amazing!! So first off I called and set up an appointment at a different clinic in Madison after driving over an hour they weren't able to help me because I had an out-of-state driver's license the next two places I called wouldn't help me because it was the day before Thanksgiving and they weren't doing intakes until the following week which I could not wait for.
