They put a diagnosis that was non emergent on my reason for transport. It was a diagnosis the hospital didn’t even have. Sent me a bill for 10,000 because they weren’t covered by my insurance but I wasn’t told that and didn’t have a choice as I was on IV heparin. Billed over $1800 to transport my grandmother a quarter mile on the UTMC campus.... ridiculous....
The 16 min ride from Magruter Hospital to Firelands Hospital was billed as $6,431 after insurance was $192. I sure Medicare is not picking up the balance. The ambulance was gross and stinky. When they hit a bump it seems it would fall apart. Not sure the driver or the assistant hope and medical experience at all. Next time I will drive myself.
Listen. Go to owens and get that certificate for 300/month for 4 months. I make 20/hr in Toledo with no debt or contract.
