Founded by Drs. Vacharee and Andrew Peterson, Community Dental Care was one of the first private clinics in the Twin Cities that focused primarily on serving low-income and minority patients. To ensure continued access of high quality dental care for the large number of our patients enrolled in public programs, the clinic was incorporated into a 501(c)(3) nonprofit in August 2004 and began serving patients as a nonprofit in January 2005. The hygienist I'm put with every time always rushes through and it doesn't seem like she wants to be there and do a good job. She gets the fluoride almost everywhere except my teeth including my lips. She misses some teeth in back also. It is like she's looking at something else while she's doing it. I called to schedule an appointment for a sore tooth. I arrived before my scheduled time but was waiting for an hour.... Receptionist failed to tell me it was considered an emergency appointment so that's taken as a walk in....???? So why did I schedule when I was to come in?? I left, great dental office for people who can't speak English or don't care about the level of care they wish to receive. If I had the ability to give this place 10 stars out of 5 I would. I have been to this business twice and this place has given me the best experiences of my lifetime by a mile. The first time I went this past May the doctor performed nothing short of a miracle. I didn't even realize how much pain and time that she saved me until six months later - all credit to her. Last week I scheduled an appointment for today 8:30am. I wrote it on my calendar while I was on the phone with them, so I know I wrote the correct time. Showed up at 8:29am. Front desk said the appointment was at 8:15am, so I got turned away. Tried to reschedule and they’re booked out until November, so now I’m going to be stuck in a mental breakdown for the rest of the day. Scheduled an appointment 2 months ago for 3/29, did not receive a confirmation text or reminder of time so I call to confirm just to be told that my appointment is canceled because a doctor went on maternity leave last week. Which is understandable but to wait until 2 days before the appointment to inform me actually for me find out myself is ridiculous… I’ve taken off work for this appointment to not be seen. And now they don’t even offer emergency care as well. Terrible business practice would give ZERO stars if I could
