I had booked for specialized transportation for my father, twice, and both bookings were cancelled! At least they notified me almost 2wks in advance. Their excuse was, “they don’t have enough vans” and “no drivers are available for that day”. But I had booked 3-4weeks prior. 🤷🏻‍♀️

We used the Access to Primary Care transportation for the first time and were so impressed. The driver/PSW, Marlene, arrived a bit early for pick up and she was friendly, professional and helpful as we loaded mom in her wheelchair into the van and transported her to a short appointment nearby. We are very thankful to have accessed this wonderful resource in the community.

This place has a code of conduct with their corevalue being "To help people maintain their independance and stay living at home that they may remain independent as much as is possible.. Without any consultation, this same place tells me that i should look into palliative care. An old age home? What happened to "maintaing independance", or, "staying home?"
