I’ve been at camhs since I was 11(I’m now 17) this place DESTROYED my mental health I was told that I was “being over dramatic” and that “there’s nothing wrong with you” after I confided in them about my self harm and feelings and they said that because my family member (who also went to CAMHS) didn’t visibly or physically experience an assault they’re younger sibling went though they and I quote “ can’t have PTSD since you didn’t see it and it didn’t happen to you” even though that family members was OFFICIALLY DIAGNOSED BY... read more
The Child and Adolescent Mental Health Service (CAMHS) on the Isle of Wight is underfunded and inadequate. During two visits, the mental health practitioner demonstrated a lack of competence and knowledge regarding Autism Spectrum Condition (ASC) and associated risk factors and comorbidities. Very helpfull to me I went there cause I've got rlly bad mental health and I came out pretty happy with their service the workers are very chill and relaxed and very helpful
