The front desk person was very rude and unprofessional. I had scheduled a time to donate platelets a few weeks ago and when I arrived they told me I would need to wait another hour because there were still donors in the chairs. They asked if I wanted to reschedule and I did. Unfortunately I was a few minutes late for my next scheduled appointment and even though the chair was available and their next appt was almost two hours away she said they only had a ten minute grace period and asked if I wanted to reschedule. So, one blood should really get their back office together. I went on their website at 7:30 AM to make a blood donation appointment at 10:30 AM. I made the appointment on the website and got a confirmation. The confirmation said I would also get a email within two hours confirming. I never got the email so I tried calling the location for 45 minutes prior to my appointment to double check but nobody picked up the phones? Tell me why I come in to see if I even need an appointment to donate blood for the first time as a universal donor, O- blood type, and I’m ignored? I was originally grabbing donuts beside this location and walked in to ask. Imagine having an insane blood shortage in this country and finding messing with a TV more important than trying to provide health care workers with the necessary supplies to save lives.
