The gate is constantly wide open and doesn't work. You don't get the secure gated facility that you are paying for.
This facility is no longer Storage Wise because they were bought out by Self Plus Storage. I did not receive notification that they were changing (about 3 months after moving in). I have mice droppings in my unit and the price has substantially increased ever since the new ownership. I had great phone and email communication with the previous (Storage Wise) rep I believe her name was Barbara. However, had I known they would be changing over I would have chosen a different location.
They’re unresponsive to issues with their units. I have a big sinkhole in the pavement in front of my unit and nothing has ever been done about it. This place has turned over multiple times since I started with them as Commonwealth. The rent just keeps going up. They’re very impersonal. No one on site to get help from. Find other units better than this place!
WORST FACILITY IN FREDERICKSBURG!! ROACHES, TICKS, AND WASPS INSIDE THE UNITS. THE CLIMATE CONTROL IS NON-EXISTENT!! AND THEY WILL KICK YOU OUT IF YOU CHOOSE TO USE THE FACILITY AT NIGHT!! THERE IS ALSO A "COP" WHO RACES THRU THE PARKING LOT AT NIGHT AND SPINS DONUTS IN THE GRAVEL. HE ALMOST HIT MY KID!! I COMPLAINED ABOUT THE TEMP, BUGS, AND THE "COP'S" CRAZY ANTICS AND HAD MY LEASE TERMINATED. GO ELSEWHERE...EXTRA SPACE STORAGE IS WONDERFUL!!
