I’m beyond frustrated with the experience I just had. After my annual wellness visit in March, my doctor’s office called me (I did not schedule this myself) to follow up and discuss lab results. I assumed this would be part of my routine care, especially since the appointment was initiated by them—not me. Now I’ve been hit with a $600 bill, of which insurance only covered $212, leaving me with a shocking out-of-pocket cost of $378 just for a brief conversation about lab results.
