The team over at St.Anthonys is absolutely awesome. I broke my ankle last month and they got me in ASAP. My insurance had screwed me over and wasnt going to cover surgery and the social workers there helped me navigate the Medicaid realm which thankfully I was able to secure. They got me in for surgery on the 16th of September. Dr. Black bolted on some fancy new hardware to my ankle and two weeks post op I feel great minus still not being able to bear weight. Dr Black is great but after partial knee replacement, at 37 days, my knee cracked open and alot of pain and started oozing fluid and pink tinge. I calked the office and was told it would be OK and to not worry. My General MD saw the wound 3 days later and put me on antibiotics. A couple weeks later, Dr Black decided another surgery was required. They cleaned out the knee and removed scar tissue. Afterwards it was determined I had Staph CoNs Negative. I am doing fine now.

Dr. Carlson really is the GOAT and his team really are “all the king’s horses and all the king’s men”. After busting up my knee on the slopes, he was able to somehow put me all back together, leaving minimal long-term evidence that he was ever inside my knee with a tiny GoPro on a stick, drilling and hammering away. I am grateful that if I had to break my tibial spine and tear my meniscus, that it happened next to where Dr. Carlson practices. His team are INCREDIBLE.
