We had the most lovely dinner at the common restaurant with an exceptional server Dave, who made our evening that much better! We had a beautiful evening to enjoy our dinner at an outside table. I enjoyed the scallops with red pepper relish over a bed of succotash made with okra and edamame. It was so delicious I could have licked the plate! My wife and I went to Common because I love oysters and she doesn’t. The atmosphere, food, and service were exceptional. We arrived without a reservation but were accommodated on the third floor. It’s away from the bustle of the restaurant and other patrons, but we came for the food, so we didn’t care. The third floor almost felt like we had a private dining experience, but if you’re into seeing the bar, staff, and people coming and going, try to get the 1st or 2nd floor. I came here a few months ago and was a little upset with service and food timing. Safe to say I am happy I returned! Our service was attentive, we had a small wait but that was to be expected, and drinks and wine selection were superb. Our food was very good. The oysters tasted very fresh, and our entres came out hot. The manager came to ask us how everything tasted, which I thought was a nice touch. Overall very friendly atmosphere.
I wish I knew the name of our server, he was outstanding. Vacationing in Savannah and we were recommended to try this restaurant and I'm so glad we did. We had the burger and the duck tacos and drinks. The drinks were on point! Highly recommend our server who also made the best drinks. I had an amaretto sour which he used a little whiskey so it wouldn't be as sweet and it was sheer perfection. Also, there was nothing left of our entrees. We would definitely return.
I’m not normally a “foodie” or anything but this restaurant might turn me into one. The service, food, and atmosphere are INCREDIBLE. I highly recommend the Chef’s Tasting Menu for the food and experience. I will be telling everyone I know to go try this place immediately
