I visited Common Ground Project Coffee and tried their Cortado with oat milk, made with their medium roast Ugandan beans. It starts off a bit bitter, but it leaves an amazing aftertaste that brings out warm, African, sunset-like notes. However, I also tried their 'Fruit Naps' pourover, and to be honest, I didn't like it at all.
Servers were very friendly. However they do not know coffee. I asked for a light roast coffee and did not know. Very friendly but the coffee is not good. My wife's iced coffee could not be classified as coffee. Colored water. If you want coffee go elsewhere. Great people not so with the coffee.
I have never been to a place like this before. I'm from out of town and we stopped here one morning for coffee. It is incredibly friendly and family oriented. I loved the vibe. Staff was so nice. One of the staff (I actually think maybe an owner) was wearing a baby and it was the cutest and sweetest thing Ive ever seen. There was a DJ outside playing music at 11am. It was awesome.
