I rented at Common Classon (in Brooklyn) in 2023. It was a bait-and-switch where they make upfront commitments to get you to sign the lease, and change it up once you start living there. My reflections below: Leasing: I should've been a bit suspicious when I wasn't allowed to tour the place physically "because of COVID" (in 2023). The agent walked me through their website (no videos / actual photos) and made promises like how I'd have double-paned windows that helped with temperature and noise insulation (false). garbage customer service. lying and deception. dont rely on transfers as they dont exist.
As another user has expressed, Common has the worst customer service I’ve ever experienced with a leasing company. Expect zero communication from them when they make an error and overcharge you. Their management office doesn’t have a direct line and can take months to respond to urgent emails. DO NOT RENT FROM THEM!
