We thought that we would purchase a used car through a dealer because they would be more reputable than a private party; how wrong we were in this decision. We test drove the car, which drove beautifully and just as we were starting to look around at the car the lights at the dealer went out and they had to move it to a better lit area where we were able to look at the body, but didn't get to see that the car was leaking oil!
