THE MANSION WAS BEAUTIFUL. WELL EPTUP AND A GREAT VENUE. GAVE THE NAME TO THE BEST CATERER IN MASS. THE CATERER THEY USED WAS NOT GOOD ENOUGH. FOOD WAS COLD A ND SLAP HAZZARDLY PUT OUT.. Elegant and beautifully decorated. There was something for everyone.
We were here for a wedding, which by the way was our 6th wedding for this year. The food was absolutely wonderful, the steak was perfect, beyond tender and flavorful. The chicken was tasty and moist. The potatoes and vegetables were cooked just right. I was very impressed. Best wedding food, I've ever had. I though the staff was very pleasant and accommodating not only to the guest but made sure the bride and groom were being taken care of. Great venue, great staff, a bargain!
I have been the DJ and MC for over 10 events from weddings to corporate parties to birthday parties and the staff at the Commander's Mansion is tremendous. The venue layout is very accommodating in terms of being able to use their outdoor/indoor space for any of your needs (ceremony, cocktail hour, reception). The historic mansion is just 10 minutes from Boston and 15 minutes from route 128. (Chris of CoolCityEntertainment DJ Service - Danvers, MA).
