This has been a very hot few days and that means all of the Air Conditioning units are working over time. I would like to educate everyone so you don't waste money on a service call if you think there is something wrong with your unit. Most houses are under insulated and your attics are getting up into the 115 to 150 degrees range during the day. Your duct work is sitting in that heat and is absorbing all the warmth and is causing the air coming out of the vents to be warmer then normal. On top of that the ceiling in all the rooms are also getting hotter then normal which is now adding to the heat load which the air Conditioning system is not designed to handle. The best decision is to shut the breakers off in your main panel if the power starts to flicker often. The main cause of failure to your system will be power instability.
Turn your thermostat down to a lower temperature before the storm hits so it will give you more comfort In case you lose power and have no back up.
