I had a simple neuro stimulator implanted in my back which works about half the time. I was not provided an estimate of cost as per state law. Almost a year after the surgery I received a Bill for $187,000. That’s ONE HUNDRED EIGHTY THOUSAND DOLLARS The procedure was done at Comfort surgery center in San Antonio. Front office staff are completely incompetent. They cannot process medical claims and will extort unjustified money from you under the guise of deductibles. The threaten to cancel your procedure on the day of your procedure. Then have the audacity to tell you even if the procedure is cancelled, you will still be billed for the procedure. NEVER USE THIS FACILITY.

So far, so good in terms of courtesy and communication, keeping me updated on arrival and surgery times. My surgery is scheduled for tomorrow afternoon with my excellent surgeon, Dr. Donald Atkins. I will make sure to update my review on Saturday, but I am delighted so far with their commitment to serve and communicate effectively.
