Worst Hotel Experience of My Life – Humiliated and Accused of Theft. I drove 7 hours from Pittsburgh to Boone, NC and decided, against my better judgment, to try Comfort Suites Downtown Boone instead of my usual Marriott stay—just to save $50. That was a huge mistake. From the start, the hospitality was below average, but what happened later was absolutely unacceptable.
