On the Choice Hotels website, it claims this property has a 4.7 excellent rating. Not even close. Very dated and breakfast was not very good.
I'm not sure where to start. I've stayed here several times over the past couple years and I can confidently say the condition of the rooms has declined. This trip especially. When I entered the room I was immediately hit with the smell of what I can only describe as an old man. If you were to smell it you would say yep smells like old man. I did everything I could to rid the room of the smell including cologne and dryer sheets stuffed in the air conditioner neither of them worked. BEWARE! Lobby appearance is clean but rooms are a different story. Pulled our sheets back and found black lint and hair all over the place. Informed the front desk who wasn't apologetic. Seemed more annoyed I brought it to his attention. We were given new sheets to put on ourselves but found a used bandaid and long black hairs all over the new sheets. Front desk offered us a room with no air conditioning and still seemed annoyed that we were having issues with a disgusting room and bedding and didn't want a room without air.... read more
Rooms were nice and comfortable. However, the hotel as a whole needs updating. Parking lot is a mess. The side door to the building was unlocked (did not need to scan card to get in) which made it feel very unsafe.
I didn't realize how fortunate I was that a more expensive hotel in the area was full when I pulled in halfway through a road trip! The check-in process made me feel quite welcome: I slept well knowing that I was in good hands and that I'd gotten a great deal! This hotel was exactly what I needed exactly when I needed it. Thank you to the staff who made my stay effortless and restful!
