Had a great stay! The room was comfortable, and I really enjoyed the amenities. The breakfast was also nice, fresh, and had a good variety. Overall, it was a great stay and a wonderful experience for my birthday getaway. I especially want to recognize Marianne at the front desk. I had spoken with her over the phone before arriving, and she was just as warm, welcoming, and helpful in person. She genuinely made me feel like a valued guest from the moment I arrived. I made a reservation for a total of CAD 524.47 through Choice hotels website and received an email confirming this amount inclusive of taxes. However the credit card has been overcharged for CAD 544.64. I was told by customer service that CAD 20.17 was a security deposit/charge and that it would be refunded upon checkout. Good location, but definitely an older property in need of updating The location was convenient — about a 12-minute drive to Blue Mountain and there were lots of restaurants and other amenities nearby. The receptionist was friendly and actually mentioned that this is one of their older hotels and that renovations will be taking place soon, which I appreciated. That being said, the room and bathroom could have been cleaner. The toilet had visible staining/mold, and there was noticeable black mildew along the silicone around t... read more
