I was double charged for the room - once by Priceline and again by the hotel directly. I have been unable to contact the hotel directly by phone (they do not answer) and the Choice Hotels helpline says they cannot refund the overcharge. Apparently, it must be handled by the local hotel (which does not answer the phone). I have been trying to call them for hours with no answer. The hotel was OK - customer service is terrible.
