Shippen Hotel This hotel is a little gem. Their rooms are great and they also have a very nice restaurant. I highly recomend them in the summer when you can eat outside. They also have great music on the weekends. I do not recomend them as much at dinner when their menu is limited and costly. PROS: Great rooms, nice restaurant CONS: Dinner menu, not good selection
Decent place right in the heart of Revere If you're looking for a relatively inexpensive place to stay in Revere, Rodeway is the way to go. It is close to a few shops and other hotels, and definitely makes you feel like you're staying in the big city.
Dirty, but cheap This hotel is cheap. That is its best quality. The air conditioning works, the staff will place an in-room refrigerator for a small fee, and the staff is friendly. That said, the rooms are dirty. Whenever the room was cleaned, I found long hairs left behind (presumably by the maids). The tubs in every room we stayed in (we moved around over several weeks) were clogged. The toilet didn't flush properly. Don't I didn't like this hotel very much. They appear to be nice but they aren't. They cater to folks that are living there. If you need a room for a few days, I suggest you go somewhere else.
Fun This hotel is a great winter weekend getaway. When you need to get away from the cold and snow but don't have a lot of money, this is the place to go. It;s close and they have geat poolside rooms. They have a really nice children's pool that is great for little ones to splash in.
Cliffbreakers This is a nice restaurant located near downtown Rockford on the Rock River. It was recently sold and may have had a name change to Riverside Restaurant. I am not sure about the name. It is a big beautiful restaurant overlooking the Rock River. They have many banquet rooms for weddings and banquets and meetings. There is an attached hotel. The food has always been great. We still have to try it since the new owner is there. Sharon J.
Very Nice The setting is great especially for large groups. The only quam I have with Cliffbreakers is that the feeling of the rooms are kind of old/antiquey. The food is really great and feels more high end. The waitstaff is prompt and gives specific attention to detail.
Restaurant I had my lunch meetings there several weeks ago. The Cliffbreakers is a beautiful restaurant overlooking the river.They have an amazing service and the good was great. I would recommend this restaurant for lunch and dinner.
Very Eloquent Myy few experiences here have been for large group of people for special events. They took great care of all of us and the food was really tasty. Everyone was very professional in how they interacted with people. The only thing is that the portions of food were smaller than most other places. The food was really good though.
