Great stay! Room was clean. Staff was friendly and accommodating. Nice breakfast. Would definitely stay again.
The stay was great except for the overpowering fragrance they were injecting everywhere in the building. I wonder what they were trying to hide because it was very strong.
I would not recommend staying at Comfort Inn Mechanicsburg Harrisburg South Hotel. Let me start with the rooms. Each shower is different and gets way too hot or cold way too fast. The beds are surprisingly comfortable but the dip in the foundation of the floor in the corner of my room cancelled it out. The lights also turn on and off when we don’t need them too. AVOID! Dirty rooms, very loose toilet seat, water damage, old carpet; This place is BADLY in need of an update! The rude manager demanded that my wife and I change rooms due to their error. No compensation or even an apology. We where just about to leave for the day (8AM) to attend car show at the Carlisle fairgrounds. He actually kept his foot in the door so we could not close it. The pool was nice, it's in a good location, staff was friendly and breakfast was good. Beds were comfy and we all got good sleep. Housekeeping did a half way job of cleaning the room. Lights had dust, carpet looked like it was never vacuumed, the bedding quilt had a large rip and the curtains had mold. Im assuming the room had a bad smell that was being covered up by a very strong citrus odor.
