My husband and I booked a room yesterday through Booking.com, selecting the “pay later” option, which was clearly available. We received email confirmation for our reservation. However, just minutes later, we received a call from the hotel where a staff member demanded we provide a credit card to secure the booking. The worst hotel ever, I made a reservation via booking.com, then I got a call from the front desk and the lady just cancelled the reservation.

The hotel is dirty. Maintenance is some of the worst I have seen, almost like the maintenance ia being done by someone with no apptitude for repairing and maintaining things.examples, ceiling tiles removed and replaced with painted plywood and a nail was used to hold it in place from falling though the ceiling, paint nicked and chipping , caulking on tub looked like 5 year old installed it. Elevator was very dirty and not cleaned the whole 5 day stay. Base boards were filthy. Cereal was stale, I was warned by another patron.... read more

While it's only $2+, as someone who spends hundreds of nights in hotels every year, it would add up to $400-$500 a year. When I approached the manager there was a very quick"oh, we'll take that off", which they did, but you could tell they were very nervous to discuss it and cut the conversation short.
