My central heating blower motor bearings were going, and created an awful racket (intermittently). Comfort Control Heating assessed the issue, and gave proposal to replace the blower motor. There was a charge for this assessment visit. I hired Comfort Control to replace the blower motor, which they did on a subsequent visit. After replacing the motor, the screeching from the failing bearings was gone, but now there was a loud constant hum that propagates throughout the house through the duct system.
