The ComedySportz Theatre hosts our main stage show 'ComedySportz' every Thursday, Friday and Saturday. 'ComedySportz' is improv comedy with performers split up into two teams who perform short scenes, song and games based on audience suggestions. Improv It's another improv theater like Second City but not as well known or popularized. I've been there a couple of times and it's the people are still quite funny They just don't have the improv history but if you're looking for improv comedy cheaper than second city, this is the place to go. It's right by the belmont EL stop. They specialize in improv games, and there's a lot of sports themed stuff. Either way it's a cheap way to have fun on the weekend.
So good! – I was lucky enough to catch the 8pm show Saturday night at ComedySportz with my girlfriend and I loved it! The humor was clean and smart (which I think is much more impressive) and the neighborhood had so many great restaurant and bar options that my girlfriend and I are definitely going back soon. We were also a big fan of the drinks and drink prices, their blue team drink will knock your socks off.
I went here with my class during our graduation class trip to chicago. This place is awesome! Best comedy in town! They had our whole class plus the teachers and chaperones laughing so hard! Definetly go here. I looked around and everyone was laughing so much and it gaves us something to laugh about on the bus ride to our next stop, Navy Pier.

Freaking funny... – This place was great! I went & saw a show this past Friday night & it was hilarious. I thought that it might be sort of lame or kiddie at first, but it was great! It was still kid friendly content, while at the same time funny enough for me & my friend. His kids loved it. He loved it. His wife loved it. I loved it! Kudos to Comedysportz!
Great way to spend a weekend night or a Wednesday night or a Thursday night... – Comedysportz is amazing! My girlfriend and I went to see the show on a Friday and we couldn't believe how awesome it was. Normally, improv is pretty hit-or-miss, but this place has its act together; there wasn't a single moment when I wasn't laughing. Best Improv in town, Try Free Comedy Wednesday – For someone not knowing what to expect this show was amazing. Going into the show I was very skeptical because improv comedy can be either very good or VERY BAD. I actually have been to two of the comedy shows at their new venue and they both have been amazing. TOOOO FUNNY !!!! – When I first came to the ComedySportz Theatre I wasn't sure what to expect- either really corny or extremely hilarious, especially since it was my first time going to a comedy show...Well, I can definitely say that extremely hilarious was an understatement.
