Called trying to get mental health meds told me to come in 1230-2 went at 1230and when I arrived was told tomorrow nope taking my services somewhere else.

Then how are they an emergency intake service if they are closed on Saturday and sunday.where should I refer myself too

Deeply harmful experience with therapist at COMCARE My husband saw Frank Horbelt, LPC at COMCARE of Sedgwick County starting in late November 2024 for several weeks of weekly sessions. We clearly told COMCARE at intake that previous evaluations in another state had raised possible bipolar disorder and more recently borderline personality disorder (BPD), and we specifically requested DBT (Dialectical Behavior Therapy), which is the standard treatment for BPD. As someone who was terribly frightened of starting on the path to mental health recovery, Comcare made it very easy. The workers were patient with my inexperience and my intake was a breeze. My greatest fear was that I'd be treated as an attention-seeker, or foolish for having done my research. Instead, my intake practitioner was thoughtful and receptive, and agreed with my basic coverage of things; though I am not a skeptic of therapy, it was not what I needed.
