The three of us ordered 6 different cocktails and sampled each one. Drinks are fun and vibrant. Love that they have a map in their menu for sweet vs dry and boozy vs acidic. It helps when deciding what to order. The bartender was also helpful with recs and describing the drinks as well. I definitely want to come back to Comala and also try Lillia next door for dinner. We just walked in on Tuesday around 530pm and found seats at the bar. You can make online reservations. This is a cute date spot!
The sopes were really good; the marga were good; I wouldn't get the totopos (chips) again though, they were basically Cholula on stale chips with some shredded cheese. I expected salsa the way the term is used at other Mexican places in the US, something with more than one ingredient and a little more complexity. But chips with a hot sauce I can do at home 🤷
Bartenders know what they’re doing and good food
Everyone is always raving about this place. I might’ve came in on an off night. I’ll try it again and update my review then.
