They removed the plaster, left the lathe bare, and should have any star stripped. The tacos were unacceptable, the cod tasted brined with a fishy pinch, the meat taco was day old bland, and the chips were crunchy. Though it wasn't the kitchens fault, the restaurant manager over booked reservations against limited seating, acted has a hostes, and seemed to be taking it out on waiting staff. Amazing !
I do love Comal but I think the food quality has decreased in the last few years. I always considered it to be innovative Mexican food, but this time it didn’t seem that way. It was good, just not spectacular.
Great time at Comal with the family at the banquet table and the pre fixe menu. Excellent selection of filling food and great cookies at the end! We came here because we heard about the audio/acoustic technology to make the restaurant a pleasant noise level and we think it works! (Episode on gastropod or switched on pop!)
