"FAMILY" that is the best, most accurate single word to descibe the people associated with this... I hesitate to say 'company' because it never felt like a business transaction. Instead, it was like a nuturing relative, eager to share the joy of scuba diving. They are always patient and supportive with their training. And the social bonding during meals at base camp for check out dives, is reminiscent of family get togethers. Columbus Scuba is opened and operated by two of the greatest people, Andy and Melissa Silverman. My 4 grandchildren wanted to get their open water certification before we went to Mexico on vacation so they could dive in the Caribbean. Ohio weather conditions aren't the most cooperative so the kids needed two more dives prior to leaving. Andy met us in the middle of the day, in the middle of the week, at Twin Quarries, taking time out of his regular day to help the kids complete their certification.
