The owner was rude, changed his timeline several times, admonished me like I am a naive child, took longer than he initially quoted, changed his recommendations for care of the floor after it was done, and put only one coat of varnish on. In addition; he ruined the spindles on my stairwell. The house is historic and the woodwork is all original. I agree with ****** *. bone heads basically lied to me...I was out of town....told me that they would put two coats on and only put on ONE...I know because I had a friend check on them at night. When I busted them out on it, they denied...less than two years later my floors ruined...having them re-done...thanks, I hope you guys can sleep at night...and watch out for the "mom". One start only because I couldn't leave "0". ******** **

Excellent work, it’s really unbelievable from what was there previously. My hardwood floors had been covered with carpet for over 50 years. Underneath the old carpet the wood had numerous pet stains. Some areas were completely black. Columbus Floors went above and beyond my expectations in somehow getting all the stains. I had read that the boards would need to be replaced but thankfully this was not necessary. I fully expected a dusty mess but the house was almost as clean as when they started. Beware!!! Absolutely horrible work. Floors are unevenly stained. Dirt, hair, grass, nails sealed in all over the floors. Can't clean it up because it's all under the finish so it's feels very dirty under bare feet. Didn't put hardware back for closets. We had cameras put in to keep an eye on contractors and they turned them off because they didn't want to be seen doing a less than quality job.

Wonderful work, left me really pleased with everything. Very prompt and courteous. Called them on a weekend and they were able to fit me into their job schedule very quickly. The older gentleman that provided the estimate was super knowledgeable and answered every question that I had. They left my house quite clean which I did not expect. Everyone I had talked to warned me that the dust was not worth the effort. I am so happy that was not the case. I would most certainly recommend.

Really did a super job. The crew was prompt and courteous. Everything was so much cleaner than I expected. We had our floors refinished about 20 years ago by a different company and that process was very messy. It seemed like we were cleaning up both hidden and visible dust for months afrerwards. I don't know what has changed but this time around there was no dust for my wife and I to clean up afterward. The floors look fantastic. We have gotten so many compliments on them. Would definitely use again.

Absolutely THE WORST customer service I have ever experienced. They didn't show up twice when they were supposed to and didn't call to let us know they weren't coming. On the third try, they came out and said they can't do the floors because of staples and so on from the carpet being on the floor. We wanted to do business with them because they told my husband that they can remove the staples at an affordable price. The wife is extremely rude and will hold another conversation with someone else while on the phone with you. I... read more
