It was the best place of all. It had just great places cool fossils. I definitely recommend if you're going to ashpen go to that store. It's one of the best stores in that world. from Chicago and i believe this is the best rock store ever, really great fossils too. If you dont have a budget its a must go too. it's just so much fun and great best fossils.
One of the best place for the fossils and one of a kind minerals in Aspen Colorado
I ran the Columbine Shop on the sunny side of the bricked in, Aspen Street Mall, way back in the late 70s and early 80s but left to pursue other opportunities like working for the Pitkin County Sheriff's Office and later the Aspen Police Department. We always had such great stuff from fossils to gigantic amethyst geodes as well as jewelry from Indian turquoise and silver, to finer things like Rolex Watches which we got from our sister store, the Vail Custom Jewelers. I got a crystal and a nice selenite mushroom for my friend as a gift. So nice. The owner is super sweet.
A very interesting store in Aspen if you are around you must go in and check out all of the cool stuff that they have it's just one of those really cool crystals and gemstones healing amazing places that everyone should visit
